Finance Business Partner - Professional Services

3 Month Contract
Rate: £500 - £600 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: London - onsite 2/3 days per week

We're looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join a large, complex organisation and partner with senior leaders across its Customer & Professional Services functions.

This is a commercially focused role supporting teams that deploy people into customer engagements and deliver project-based services. You'll provide financial insight, challenge and decision support across services revenue, resource deployment, customer profitability, forecasting and operational performance.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience partnering consulting, professional services, managed services or resource-led delivery teams within a large organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders across Customer, Services and Delivery functions
  • Provide commercial financial insight and challenge around services performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and rolling planning activity
  • Analyse and report on professional services revenue, revenue per FTE and revenue per customer
  • Support resource planning, utilisation and headcount decision-making
  • Provide insight into project and customer profitability
  • Analyse delivery performance, margins, costs and key commercial drivers
  • Develop financial models, business cases and scenario analysis
  • Support decisions around customer engagements, resource deployment and service delivery
  • Own and improve monthly financial and management reporting
  • Highlight financial risks, opportunities and performance trends
  • Identify opportunities to improve utilisation, productivity, margin and commercial performance
  • Translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders

  • Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
  • Strong Finance Business Partnering / Commercial Finance experience
  • Previous experience partnering Professional Services, Consulting, Managed Services or resource-based delivery teams
  • Experience supporting a business model where employees or consultants are deployed onto customer engagements
  • Strong understanding of services revenue, utilisation, revenue per FTE, customer profitability and delivery margins
  • Experience working within a large, complex organisation, ideally 5,000+ employees
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial modelling experience
  • Proven experience influencing senior non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience supporting resource planning, headcount decisions and operational performance
  • Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrix environment with multiple senior stakeholders
