The Opportunity
Finatal are partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed environmental services business on the appointment of a Finance Business Partner.
With a strong market position and an ambitious growth strategy, the business is investing heavily in operational excellence, commercial performance, and value creation. This role will play a critical part in supporting senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing financial insight and partnering with operational teams to drive performance and strategic decision-making.
The Role
Reporting into the Head of Finance, the Finance Business Partner will act as the key link between finance and the wider business. You'll provide robust financial analysis, challenge decision-making, and support the delivery of strategic initiatives in a fast-paced PE-backed environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational and commercial leaders to support strategic planning and business performance.
- Deliver meaningful financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and improve profitability.
- Prepare monthly management reporting, dashboards, and KPI analysis.
- Challenge assumptions and influence key business decisions through data-driven recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and margin enhancement.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and investment appraisals.
- Partner with non-finance stakeholders to improve financial understanding and accountability.
- Assist with governance, controls, and compliance requirements across the business.

Candidate Profile
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Experience within Commercial Finance, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering roles.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and commercial acumen.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience using ERP systems and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Previous experience within a multi-site, services, industrial, environmental, waste management, or PE-backed business would be advantageous.
- Proactive, ambitious, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced growth environment.
