Sowena Group are proud to be exclusively partnered with a high-growth, privately owned property group based in Liverpool to appoint a Finance Business Partner into their growing finance function.

The business operates across multiple areas of the property sector, including development, construction, investment and lettings & block management, and has ambitious plans for continued growth. • Work closely with property managers and operational teams to gather, validate and analyse service charge information.
  • Ensure service charge accounting is compliant with relevant lease agreements, regulatory guidelines and statutory requirements.
  • Manage the year-end service charge audit and verification process, liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare clear and accurate service charge statements and respond to queries relating to allocations and expenditure.
  • Take ownership of resolving historic and legacy balance sheet reconciliations across the portfolio.
  • Produce monthly financial reporting and analysis, highlighting key variances, trends and areas requiring attention.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting cycle, including rolling forecasts and scenario analysis.
  • Develop and maintain cost centre reporting packs tailored to individual sites and business areas.
  • Partner with property, facilities and operational teams to provide financial insight and support commercial decision-making.
  • Provide financial guidance around service charge implications for new contracts, refurbishments and lease changes.
  • Analyse expenditure across sites and identify opportunities to improve the use and management of leaseholder funds.
  • Contribute to wider finance projects, providing financial modelling, analysis and impact assessments.
  • Support the development of KPIs and performance reporting across service charge and operational spend.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality and financial controls.
  • Present financial findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and commercially focused manner.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
