Join a high-profile National Sales division as a Finance Business Partner

Provide commercially focused financial insight and challenge to senior sales leaders. You'll partner closely with the sales function to drive performance, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making, while working within the wider finance team of a large, established organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional looking to make a visible impact.

What you'll do

  • Act as the key finance partner to the National Sales leadership team, providing insight, challenge, and commercial support.
  • Own and drive the financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting process for the sales division.
  • Provide clear analysis of sales performance, revenue, margins, costs, and profitability.
  • Translate financial data into actionable commercial insight for senior stakeholders.
  • Partner with sales leaders to identify opportunities, manage risks, and improve financial performance.
  • Lead monthly performance reviews, explaining variances and agreeing appropriate actions.
  • Support commercial decision-making, including pricing, investment cases, customer profitability, and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful KPIs and reporting to support sales performance.
  • Challenge assumptions and promote strong financial discipline across the division.
  • Work collaboratively with wider Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams on business-wide initiatives.

What you'll bring

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or significant relevant commercial finance experience.
  • Proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering or commercial finance role.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand and influence business performance.
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders, ideally within a sales, commercial, or customer-facing environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex financial information into clear recommendations.
  • Confident communicator who can constructively challenge and influence at all levels.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a large, complex organisation.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.
