Finance Business Partner

Salary: £47,181 - £52,413 plus Market Factor Supplement of £3,869

Reporting to: Head of Financial Services

Location: East Midlands (Hybrid Working)

The Opportunity

Adecco is proud to be partnering with the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) to recruit a talented and proactive Finance Business Partner. This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of strategic decision-making, partnering with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight, challenge and support that helps deliver EMCCA's priorities and long-term ambitions.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Finance Business Partner, you'll:

  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders, providing trusted financial advice and constructive challenge
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance management activities
  • Deliver insightful financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decisions
  • Support business cases, funding bids and financial modelling for key projects and programmes
  • Identify risks, opportunities and areas for continuous improvement
  • Promote strong financial governance and value for money across the organisation
  • Support major capital projects and investment programmes
  • Work collaboratively across the Finance Directorate to deliver an excellent finance service

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a qualified finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills. You will have:

  • Full CCAB qualification (or equivalent) and a commitment to continuing professional development
  • Significant experience providing financial advice within a large and complex organisation
  • Strong experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial performance management
  • Excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience driving process improvements and enhancing financial performance
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach and the confidence to take ownership
  • Experience supporting large-scale programmes, projects or capital investment activity
  • Experience within Local Government, a Combined Authority, or a similarly complex public sector environment would be advantageous.
