Senior Finance Business Partner

6 Month+ Interim Contract

£500–£600 per day

Reading Area – Hybrid Working

We're supporting a large, international technology business that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner on an interim basis.

Reporting directly into the UK Finance Director, you'll partner three UK Business Units and sit at the heart of commercial performance, working closely with Sales, Operations and Technology leadership. This is a genuinely commercial role focused on helping the business make better, faster decisions through strong analysis, forecasting and financial insight.

The business is going through significant change, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable working at pace, challenging senior stakeholders and improving processes while keeping a close eye on performance, risks and opportunities.

The Role

You'll act as a key finance partner across three UK Business Units, providing leadership teams with a clear understanding of what's driving revenue, margin and overall performance.

This isn't a role focused purely on producing reports. You'll be expected to understand the commercial story behind the numbers, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities and help stakeholders make informed decisions around pricing, investment, projects and cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner senior stakeholders across Sales, Operations and Technology, providing commercial finance support across three UK Business Units
  • Own and develop the monthly revenue forecasting process, working closely with Sales to understand pipeline, conversion, customer trends and market movements
  • Lead analysis across revenue, margin, costs and profitability, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Support annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and ongoing planning, ensuring assumptions are robust and commercially grounded
  • Produce weekly and monthly performance reporting with clear commentary around what's driving results
  • Develop management information and dashboards that provide greater visibility across commercial and operational performance
  • Work closely with Sales to understand pipeline development, trading performance and delivery against targets
  • Provide financial support around pricing, investment decisions, bids and business cases
  • Analyse customer, contract, project and operational profitability to identify opportunities to improve performance
  • Own financial modelling and scenario analysis to support commercial decision-making
  • Maintain a clear view of emerging risks and opportunities, ensuring senior leadership has early visibility and there are "no surprises"
  • Challenge commercial and operational stakeholders constructively around performance, assumptions and opportunities
  • Support the UK Finance Director with ad-hoc commercial analysis and strategic projects throughout the assignment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
