Finance Business Partner
Location: Hybrid working based in Midlands or North with travel to Brainkind locations as required
Salary: £36,900 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team and help drive financial performance, informed decision-making, and sustainable growth across the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively with operational leaders, influencing decision-making, and turning financial data into meaningful business insight.
About the Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with operational and corporate teams to provide robust financial analysis, budgeting support, forecasting, and performance reporting. You will act as a trusted advisor to budget holders, helping them understand their financial performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and outcomes.

You will play a key role in supporting monthly reporting, annual budget setting, forecasting cycles, business cases, and strategic projects across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships with budget holders and operational leaders.
- Provide financial insight, support, and challenge to aid decision-making.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Produce and analyse monthly management accounts and variance reports.
- Identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses.
- Support cost improvement programmes and efficiency projects.
- Monitor project expenditure and provide insightful financial reporting.
- Assist with contract bids, tenders, and investment appraisals.
- Contribute to improvements in financial systems, reporting, and processes.
- Communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
About You
You'll be a proactive and analytical finance professional who enjoys partnering with stakeholders and influencing positive business outcomes.
Essential
- Qualified or finalist accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a Finance Business Partnering, Management Accountant, or similar role.
- Strong experience of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate it clearly.
- Experience building effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Desirable
- Experience within healthcare, social care, charity, or not-for-profit sectors.
- Knowledge of workforce planning, agency spend analysis, or service performance reporting.
- Experience supporting change, transformation, or procurement projects.
