Summary Finance Business Partner with the Academy of Medical Sciences, one of the UK's leading independent bodies championing medical research and innovation.
Ideal for a qualified accountant with strong finance business partnering, budgeting and management reporting experience, particularly within a charity, membership body or grant-funded environment.

The Role Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Finance Business Partner will work closely with project managers and budget holders across the organisation, providing high-quality financial insight and support to drive informed decision-making.
- Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Produce insightful monthly management accounts and financial analysis
- Partner with budget holders to improve financial understanding and performance
- Support funding bids, renewals and funder reporting
- Contribute to strategic planning, financial modelling and process improvement

Main Duties This is a broad and visible role that combines management accounting, stakeholder engagement and strategic finance support.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and multi-year financial models
- Deliver monthly management accounts and variance analysis
- Monitor restricted funding and support grant reporting requirements
- Forecast cash flow and monitor financial sustainability
- Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, controls and reporting processes
The Successful Candidate
- CCAB qualified (or equivalent) with relevant post-qualified experience
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
- Proven ability to build relationships with non-finance stakeholders
- Experience within the charity, not-for-profit, membership or grant-funded sector is highly desirable
- Proactive, analytical and confident challenging and influencing decision-makers

What's on Offer?
- Salary £55,000 - £61,000
- Hybrid working, with 50% office-based in central London and 50% home working
- 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays plus closure over Christmas
