Finance Business Partner – 9 Month Contract

About the Role

An established and value-driven organisation is looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join on a 9-month contract during a period of strategic change and project activity.

This is a broad, commercially focused role offering exposure across management reporting, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering, with the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders and make an immediate impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Producing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Analysing performance, variances, trends and opportunities
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting
  • Business partnering with operational teams and budget holders
  • Supporting business cases and financial modelling
  • Producing dashboards and management information
  • Supporting financial due diligence and risk assessment
  • Contributing to finance transformation and process improvement
  • Developing financial performance metrics and reporting frameworks
  • Supporting governance, controls and audit activity

About You

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with experience across management accounting, FP&A or commercial finance.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience
  • Experience producing MI for senior stakeholders
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Strong business partnering and communication skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach
  • Experience improving processes, reporting and financial controls

Desirable, but not essential:

  • Financial due diligence experience
  • Experience with ERP and/or business intelligence systems
  • Exposure to value-for-money, impact measurement or programme-based funding
