We are seeking an experienced Finance Senior Manager to lead an internal finance team and deliver high-quality decision support to a key Business Unit within the Deals Line of Service. Working within one of PwC’s most dynamic and commercially focused areas, this role partners closely with senior stakeholders to provide financial oversight, insight, and challenge. Responsibilities span business partnering, forecasting, revenue recognition, performance management, and financial governance. The successful candidate will combine strong technical finance expertise with commercial acumen and relationship-building skills to influence decision-making, drive financial performance, and support the achievement of both short and long-term business objectives.

What your days will look like:

  • Deliver commercial insight through robust financial analysis, reporting, and performance management, enabling informed decision-making and driving sustainable business growth.
  • Oversee the financial management of a significant portfolio, including forecasting, revenue recognition, cash flow, risk management, and valuation of work in progress.
  • Drive continuous improvement and change initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support planning, maximize return on investment, and strengthen operational and financial performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
