About the Role:

The Consulting practice has seen significant growth, both organically and by a number of strategic acquisitions. As a business we strive to be constantly agile. We have recently merged together the legacy Risk and Consulting practices and realigned our business to ensure we are well placed to deliver our growth ambitions. We not only have deep sector knowledge, we are aligned into Go-to-market groups providing strategic, commercial, insight driven solutions to our clients. Join a dynamic and fast paced Consulting finance team of nearly 50 based primarily in London, Birmingham, and Manchester who support c4000 partners and client staff. As a business partner you will work directly with the Consulting Partners and staff.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a successful Business Partnering team providing specialist financial advice to the Enterprise, Risks and Forensics (ER&F) BU:

  • Becoming a trusted advisor with whom the business consults, proactively providing insightful analysis and commentary.
  • Working with the client teams to understand the financial metrics on large and complex jobs, advising them on revenue recognition and metrics.
  • Providing detailed forecasting and planning support to the business leaders, to help them make informed decisions.
  • Managing and coaching the junior members of the team and instilling a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • PwC’s Business Partnering teams work hand-in-hand with our employees across the business, informing our leaders on the key decisions that drive the business forward, and shape their engagements.
  • We entrust our Business Partnering teams to be proactive and honest, to build relationships and influence, to understand, challenge, and hold a mirror to the business, and to translate the numbers into a business story.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
