Finance Business Partner
Remote | Contract | until March 2027 | Inside IR35
Rate: £357.39 per day Umbrella
Butler Rose is delighted to be working with a leading organisation to recruit an experienced Finance Business Partner on a contract basis to provide sabbatical cover within its Property Services division.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting and business partnering support across the MEP division. You will lead a small finance team and provide meaningful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, business cases and bid development.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Managing Director and senior stakeholders to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Deliver accurate monthly financial reporting, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
- Monitor project performance, profitability, and budget variances.
- Produce timely management information and financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Maintain strong financial controls, compliance, and accurate records within SAP.
- Lead month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Manage supplier relationships and support effective cost control.
- Support business cases, bid development, and commercial initiatives.
- Lead and develop a small finance team.
- Drive system improvements, transformations, and process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Post-qualification experience within a Finance Business Partner or senior commercial finance role.
- Experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Strong project accounting experience.
- Construction project accounting experience would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent financial analysis, forecasting and reporting skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability.
- A sound understanding of financial controls, risk management and compliance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
