Finance & Business Performance Manager

Hybrid | Surrey | 3 days per week

Are you a commercially minded finance professional looking for a role that goes beyond the numbers?

We're looking for a Finance & Business Performance Manager to lead our finance function while partnering with senior leadership to improve performance, drive better decision-making and support our next phase of growth.

This is a broad, strategic role combining financial leadership, commercial insight and continuous improvement. You'll have the opportunity to influence business strategy, develop meaningful reporting and help shape how the organisation measures success.

Most importantly, you'll be joining a business that makes a genuine difference to the lives of children across the UK.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and develop a small finance team.
  • Oversee management accounts, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and statutory compliance.
  • Develop KPI dashboards and insightful management reporting.
  • Analyse business performance, revenue and profitability.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to support commercial decision-making.
  • Drive process improvements, automation and business change.
  • Build scalable reporting and finance processes to support future growth.

About You

You'll likely be a Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or Commercial Finance professional looking for a broader, more strategic role.

You'll bring:

  • Strong finance and accounting experience, whether qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Experience producing management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience leading or mentoring others.
  • A commercial mindset with a passion for improving business performance.
