As a Business Support Associate within the Finance team, you will be responsible for supporting some of the day-to-day functions of Finance as follows:

  • Reviewing and approving employee expense claims in line with the Kainos Expenses Policy.
  • Supporting the accounts payable team in handling separate entities and vendors and resolving supplier queries.
  • Assisting with processing due invoices for payments.
  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
  • Preparing bank account reconciliations.
  • Assisting in processing customer invoice payments and supporting the credit control team.
  • Helping the team post customer payments to accounts.
  • Supporting the finance team with other tasks when necessary.

This role will be accountable for delivering high quality work in a timely fashion in line with company policies, processes and guidelines with limited supervision.

You will be working as part of a team to effectively deliver support for the core business.

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, processes and guidelines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Effective personal time management and planning skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Ability to work efficiently, make sensible decisions and prioritise your workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with both staff and external stakeholders.
  • Strong teamworking skills, including the ability to take direction from others.
  • Experience with Office 365 Suite or equivalent.

DESIRABLE:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined team.
  • Ability to identify and communicate areas for improvement within the team and business.
  • Experience with JIRA, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint or Workday.
  • Experience in a finance or accounting environment.
