About the Role
As a Business Support Associate within the Finance team, you will be responsible for supporting some of the day-to-day functions of Finance as follows:
- Reviewing and approving employee expense claims in line with the Kainos Expenses Policy.
- Supporting the accounts payable team in handling separate entities and vendors and resolving supplier queries.
- Assisting with processing due invoices for payments.
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
- Preparing bank account reconciliations.
- Assisting in processing customer invoice payments and supporting the credit control team.
- Helping the team post customer payments to accounts.
- Supporting the finance team with other tasks when necessary.

This role will be accountable for delivering high-quality work in a timely fashion in line with company policies, processes, and guidelines with limited supervision.
You will be working as part of a team to effectively deliver support for the core business.
MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS
- Strong attention to detail and ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, processes, and guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
- Effective personal time management and planning skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and targets.
- Ability to work efficiently, make sensible decisions, and prioritize your workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with both staff and external stakeholders.
- Strong teamworking skills, including the ability to take direction from others.
- Experience with Office 365 Suite or equivalent.

DESIRABLE
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined team.
- Ability to identify and communicate areas for improvement within the team and business.
- Experience with JIRA, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, or Workday.
- Experience in a finance or accounting environment.
