Job Title: Finance Project Manager
Location: Remote (Travel Required)
Length of Contract: 6 Month FTC
Salary: Up to £65k PA

Our client is looking for a Project Manager who can manage projects and change initiatives for operational teams across finance functions like Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Collections. Key responsibilities include improving services, leading the implementation of new business processes, ensuring project prioritization aligns with organizational strategy, and managing change with appropriate governance, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration. The consultant operates both individually and as part of virtual teams, requiring expertise in change governance, risk management, and senior-level stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects and change initiatives for operational teams across Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Collections.
- Improve services, including the implementation of a shared service model and new business processes.
- Prioritize and assess the impact of projects to ensure optimal customer outcomes and alignment with organizational strategy.
- Manage change to deliver improvements to end-to-end processes and realize shared service benefits.
- Lead the implementation of business processes into various business areas.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to manage engagement and expectations.
- Ensure all change is managed with appropriate governance, documentation, and within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Define and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies related to projects.

Essential Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience working on change projects or programmes.
- Strong knowledge of change governance, including defining and managing risks, issues, and interdependencies.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with experience in senior executive-level stakeholder management.
- Skilled and flexible communicator, responsive to various situations.
- Demonstrated ability for risk-managed, effective decision making.
- Proven experience in problem-solving and taking ownership/responsibility.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, quickly establishing priorities and managing multiple initiatives effectively.
- Strong team player, comfortable operating both as an individual contributor and within virtual teams.
- Exposure to the FS industry or have worked with Finance teams
