We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Finance Clerk (Expenses & Purchase Card) to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering excellent service within a collaborative environment.
About our role
As a key member of our Finance Shared Services team, you'll play an important role in supporting employees across the Group by ensuring expense claims and purchase card processes are administered accurately, efficiently, and in line with company policies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing employee expense claims accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Administering purchase card applications in line with finance controls and procedures.
- Supporting business units with reporting, analytics, and query resolution for purchase card and expenses.
- Reviewing and monitoring purchase card transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring expenses processes remain compliant with HMRC requirements and company policies.
- Investigating and resolving system or processing issues.
- Delivering a high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc finance administration activities.

About you
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service ethos.
- Are highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Can manage their own workload and meet deadlines.
- Enjoy problem-solving and improving processes.
- Thrive in a team environment while working independently when required.
- Have experience using Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of expense processing, finance administration, purchase cards, or VAT/HMRC requirements would be advantageous.
