Meraki Talent are supporting the appointment of a permanent Finance & Client Accountant based in Edinburgh, offering a salary of up to £62,000 with hybrid / flexible working alongside a competitive benefits package.

The Role

The role of Finance & Client Accountant based in Edinburgh will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the Finance function. This is a varied and hands-on role, combining technical accounting responsibilities with team leadership and process improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity across the business.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial and management reporting.
  • Taking ownership of month-end and supporting the year-end accounting process.
  • Driving improvements to finance processes, controls and operational efficiencies.
  • Supporting client accounting activities and building strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Leading and contributing to finance projects and wider business initiatives.

The role will suit someone who can effectively prioritise competing deadlines while maintaining a proactive mindset toward improving systems and ways of working.

The Person

We are keen to engage with candidates from an Accountancy Practice background, ideally with experience managing multiple clients. Applicants will be qualified (or close to qualifying) through ACCA, ICAS or ICAEW.

This role would be particularly well suited to someone making their first or second transition into industry, who is seeking a broad, hands-on position with genuine ownership, exposure to senior stakeholders and clear scope to influence and develop the finance function.
