Finance Consultant

We're working with a leading charity to appoint a hands-on Finance Consultant to support and strengthen their finance team.

This is very much a "build it together" role. You won't be coming in to deliver a finished solution; instead, you'll work alongside the team to help embed good practice, improve processes and controls, and build confidence and capability across the function.

You'll need strong Sage Intacct experience so you can add value quickly, particularly as the organisation continues its Intacct rollout. This could include developing resources, running group or 1:1 training, and helping colleagues get the most from the system.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role will be varied and genuinely hands-on. You might be:

  • Providing additional capacity across the finance team, including covering absences
  • Supporting with bank reconciliations, invoices and finance queries
  • Reviewing and improving existing processes and procedures
  • Helping develop and document "what good looks like"
  • Supporting with small projects and pieces of process improvement
  • Creating training materials and helping colleagues build their confidence
  • Simply getting stuck in wherever the team needs support

This would suit someone who is practical, collaborative and happy to work at all levels of the finance function. You won't be precious about hierarchy or job titles and are just as comfortable rolling up your sleeves with the transactional detail as working with senior colleagues on improvements and planning.
