Finance Data & Analytics Consultant

Overview
We are looking for a senior Finance Data & Analytics Consultant to support a global finance transformation migrating from a legacy ERP to Cloud ERP across a large, multi-entity international organisation.
The role combines finance data strategy, reporting architecture, and hands-on delivery, with a particular focus on P&L, management reporting, performance analytics, EPM, and the underlying data platform.
Responsibilities
- Co-design the finance Data & Analytics target operating model and reporting architecture with CFO, FP&A, finance, and programme stakeholders.
- Define how the Cloud ERP, Enterprise Analytics Platform, EPM, and Cloud Data Lakehouse work together across actuals, reporting, forecasting, planning, and consolidation.
- Lead the migration of P&L and management reporting into the Enterprise Analytics Platform.
- Design and deliver subject areas, semantic models, KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting solutions.
- Define the role, usage, and connectivity of the Cloud Data Lakehouse within the finance data landscape.
- Define the approach for historical financial data, including migration, retention, archiving, and access to comparative information.
- Ensure consistency across chart of accounts, entities, financial structures, and management hierarchies so actuals and planning data remain aligned.
- Establish the performance data foundation, including data pipelines, integration, semantic layers, and connectivity.
- Implement appropriate data governance, quality controls, reconciliation, and data lineage for finance reporting.
- Work closely with finance, FP&A, controllers, IS teams, and System Integrators to drive delivery.
- Provide recommendations and data-driven insight to senior finance stakeholders.
- Document solutions and support knowledge transfer to the retained finance organisation.

Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience delivering P&L, management reporting, and finance performance analytics.
- Proven experience working on large-scale ERP or finance transformation programmes, ideally across multi-entity and multi-country environments.
- Strong understanding of ERP finance data structures, including GL, chart of accounts, entities, and financial hierarchies.
- Experience designing and delivering cloud analytics / BI solutions, including semantic models, subject areas, KPIs, and dashboards.
- Strong experience with financial data modelling, data pipelines, integration, and data governance.
- Experience with EPM solutions covering planning, forecasting, and/or consolidation.
- Experience with modern data platforms / cloud data lakehouses and the ability to define their role within an enterprise finance architecture.
- Understanding of legacy-to-cloud finance data migration and data continuity.
- Ability to operate at both strategic/architecture and hands-on delivery levels.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with CFO, FP&A, Controller, and senior programme audiences.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and shaping solutions where the target architecture is still evolving.

Desirable
- Experience within complex multinational finance organisations.
- Experience working with environments where actuals, forecasting, planning, and consolidation systems need to remain closely aligned.
- Finance qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CPA, or CFA.
- Relevant cloud analytics, data platform, or EPM certifications.
