About the Role

Equifind is retained on an assignment working for a fast-growing, multi-site real estate business looking for a commercially minded Finance Director to join their leadership team at an exciting stage of expansion. This is a pivotal role for someone who wants to be at the heart of strategic decision-making — from site acquisitions to refinancing — rather than sitting purely in a reporting function.

About the Role:

As Finance Director, you'll act as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, providing the financial insight and rigour needed to support ambitious growth plans across our portfolio. You'll own the numbers behind every major decision — from evaluating new sites to structuring debt — and play a hands-on role in shaping the next phase of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial appraisal and due diligence on new site acquisitions, including modelling, risk assessment and investment cases
  • Manage refinancing processes and lender relationships, structuring debt facilities that support growth
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across a multi-site portfolio
  • Provide commercial insight to the leadership team on site performance, capital allocation and investment priorities
  • Build and maintain relationships with banks, investors and other external stakeholders
  • Strengthen financial controls, systems and reporting as the business scales
  • Lead and develop the finance function, building capability to match the pace of growth
  • Partner with operational teams to translate site-level performance into group financial strategy

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
