The Role

Finatal has partnered with a PE backed technology business that is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Director to lead its European finance function while acting as the senior finance partner to our Global Technology & Media business. Reporting to the CFO, this newly created leadership role will play a critical part in helping to build a modern, commercially focused finance function that supports accelerated growth across Technology, Media, and Marketing Services businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and performance management across approximately 15 European entities.
  • Ensure robust financial governance, compliance, tax management, audit delivery, and IFRS reporting standards.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, investment analysis, and risk management activities across the region.
  • Develop and implement KPI dashboards, management reporting, and commercial performance insights.
  • Act as the senior finance partner for the Global Technology & Media division across Europe and Australia.
  • Support strategic decisions relating to technology platforms, AI initiatives, media rights, product development, and investment opportunities.
  • Drive finance transformation, operating model redesign, and process improvements.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Significant experience in senior finance leadership and business partnering roles within complex commercial organisations.
  • Experience supporting technology, SaaS, media, advertising, digital, or subscription-based business models.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge executive-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent financial planning, forecasting, modelling, and analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of leading teams through transformation and change.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, governance, controls, and financial management.
