Finance Director Opportunity

A well-established business based on the outskirts of Colchester is looking for a Finance Director to help take ownership of financial strategy as they enter their next growth phase.

About the Role

As Finance Director you will:

  • Own and shape the Group's financial strategy, aligning financial planning, investment, and performance with the owners' long-term growth objectives.
  • Provide commercial financial leadership to the Board and senior management team, delivering insight, challenge, and analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial modelling, providing clear visibility of performance, funding requirements, and future opportunities.
  • Drive profitability and commercial performance across the Group, challenging costs, pricing, margins, productivity, and working capital while identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Partner with operations, production, procurement, and sales to improve financial and operational efficiency, including cost control and investment decisions.
  • Develop and enhance management information, systems, controls, and processes, ensuring accurate, timely reporting, strong governance, and effective risk management across the Group.
  • Lead and develop the finance function, acting as a trusted adviser to the owners and wider leadership team while providing financial oversight across the Group's diverse business interests.
