The Company

A privately owned, international services group is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join the executive leadership team during an exciting phase of growth and business evolution.

With operations across multiple territories and revenues of c.£100m, the organisation has established a strong market position and is now focused on further growth, operational excellence and long-term value creation.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a commercially minded Finance Director who enjoys balancing strategic influence with hands-on financial leadership.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the senior executive team, the Finance Director will play a key role in supporting business performance, strengthening financial governance and helping shape future growth plans.

The successful candidate will partner closely with operational and commercial leaders, providing challenge, insight and direction while ensuring a robust financial control environment is maintained across the group.

This role will suit an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys building high-performing teams, improving processes and driving better business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the group.
  • Provide commercial and strategic support to senior leadership.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes.
  • Develop meaningful management information and performance reporting.
  • Lead and develop a growing finance team.
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance and financial processes.
  • Support business transformation and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve profitability and commercial decision-making.
  • Oversee statutory reporting, audit processes and external adviser relationships.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, growth initiatives and future business planning activities.

About You

We are keen to speak with qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who can demonstrate:

  • Significant post-qualified experience within senior finance leadership roles.
  • Experience operating within a multi-entity business environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop finance teams.
  • Experience delivering process improvements and financial transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The credibility to influence senior executives and board-level stakeholders.
  • Experience gained within international, complex or fast-growing organisations would be highly advantageous.
