About the Role
YH2 is a dynamic private family office with a strong investment track record and meaningful philanthropic activities. We are looking for a highly capable, detail-driven Finance Director to join us.
You will oversee day-to-day finance operations, draft financial accounts across multiple entities including an investment firm and two charities, ensure the accuracy of financial forecasting and reporting. You will handle cash flow management and act as the central point of coordination for all finance and accounting related matters. You will work closely with other staff in the business operation team.
This is an ideal position for someone with previous experience in finance management of a family office, charities, SME investment firm, or similar environment where adaptability, discretion, and precision are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and review management & financial accounts, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports across multiple entities.
- Work with external accountants and advisors when necessary.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data, including reconciliations and month-end close.
- Oversee statutory filings, VAT returns, payroll, and other compliance-related submissions.
- Support year-end accounts preparation/submission across entities. Liaise with external auditors where required.
- Support tax compliance and reporting across the Group, including corporation tax, VAT and charity-related tax matters (such as Gift Aid), working with external advisers where appropriate.
- Support fund-level reporting, including investment accounting, valuation support, and AUM-related reporting, in coordination with external advisors.

Cash Flow Forecast & Treasury
- Prepare cash flows forecast with input from other stakeholders.
- Maintain and monitor cash flow forecasts across all entities.
- Oversee banking operations, including transfers, payments, fees, and account oversight.
- Track inflows and outflows, ensuring all transactions are correctly booked and documented.
- Provide proactive visibility on liquidity needs and upcoming obligations.
Operational Accounting & Controls
- Implement and maintain strong financial controls and documentation standards.
- Oversee bookkeeping and auditing processes and ensure timely, accurate data entry.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information needed for accounting and reporting.
- Supervise and support administrative staff in finance-related responsibilities.
Cross-Entity Coordination
- Ensure aligned accounting treatment and timely information sharing across entities.
- Provide accounting and reporting support to affiliated charitable entities, as required, ensuring appropriate separation and compliance.
- Assist with intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and transfer pricing considerations across fund, advisor, and holding entities.
Business Support & Improvement
- Provide financial insight to support operational planning.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices suited to a family office environment.
- Exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Detailed experience with producing accounts to GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Approximately 7 to 10 years’ post-qualification experience (or equivalent), with flexibility for the right candidate. Will consider exceptional candidates without the required PQE.
- Experience in a family office, SME investment firm, or similar environment strongly preferred.
- Experience working with cross-border structures or multiple jurisdictions (e.g. UK, Singapore, Cayman) desirable.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and comfort with multi-entity structures.
- Practical experience working with tax matters in an accounting or finance role, preferably including charity tax considerations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-throughs.
- Confident communicator who can work effectively with principals and team members.
- Comfortable managing both high-level oversight and hands-on execution.
