Finance Director
As we continue to rapidly grow within cleaning and facilities management business, we are now on the look for a Finance Director to join our vibrant London head office.
Reporting to the Managing Director and working as part of the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of financial leadership, commercial insight, compliance and finance transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead all financial matters, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital.
- Drive profitability across sites, clients and divisions through pricing, margin analysis, labour efficiency and cost control.
- Deliver clear, board-ready reporting and support bids, contract renewals, acquisitions and strategic decisions.
- Oversee month-end close, payroll for approximately 900 employees, invoicing, credit control, accounts payable and treasury.
- Lead improvements to finance processes, systems, controls, automation and management information.
- Oversee statutory, tax, employment, pension and National Minimum/Living Wage compliance.
- Lead, develop and scale the finance team as the business continues to grow.

About you
We are seeking a qualified accountant with experience as a Finance Director, Head of Finance or senior Financial Controller within an SME or mid-market business. Experience in a labour-intensive, multi-site or contract services environment is highly desirable.

You should bring:
- Proven experience delivering finance transformation, ERP or systems implementation, automation or BI projects.
- Strong hands on knowledge of month-end, payroll, VAT and statutory reporting.
- Experience leading and developing a small finance team.
- A commercially focused, hands-on and improvement oriented approach.
- The ability to balance operational delivery with strategic change.
- Confidence using technology and AI to improve finance effectiveness.
