Group Finance Director - JPG

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, confident, and enthusiastic Group Finance Director to join our board. Reporting to the Chairman, you will be based at our Head Office in Newbridge, Edinburgh.

About Us

Established in 1960, Jarvie Plant is a leading family business providing Plant, Accommodation and Vehicle Hire in Scotland and Northern England. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our management team in the development and implementation of a successful business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to optimise the company's growth and profitability.
  • Responsible for all financial operations including budgeting, reporting & cash management.
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the IT team to optimise use of technology and support the business.
  • Support fellow Exec directors & HR in the attainment of key business objectives.
  • Provide financial advice to Group directors and shareholders.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, lenders, insurers etc.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a senior finance leader in a comparable role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
  • Personal resilience and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
