Location: London (hybrid, 3 days)
Salary: £110,000 - £120,000 + 25% Bonus + Equity

It’s a newly-created Finance Director role and their first full-time, in-house finance hire. Finance has been run by a highly-experienced fractional CFO with the rest of finance outsourced, but they’ve scaled to a stage where this need to move in-house and you’ll be the one to do that.
For you, this means you’re not starting from scratch, you have a handover. You’ve got 2 co-founders who genuinely value finance and want more from it. You’ve got a business that’s scaling and your role grows with it (potentially to MD…). And you’ll have equity within a company that you’ll take through a transaction. They’re one of the UK’s fastest growing health foods brands. Founder-led, B Corp certified, profitable, and revenue doubling YoY, they’re scaling at pace, a genuine challenger brand, with revenue just below £10mil (50% CAGR).

What You'll Do
- Commercial and investor-facing work: Pricing, retail growth decisions and supporting the founders on cap table and investor matters as the business scales towards a transaction.
- Own the P&L: Of a business that makes what it sells - Manufacturing is in-house. You'll own COGS, margin and the operational drivers behind them, getting closer to how the product actually makes money than most Head of Finance seats allow. This is emphatically not a back-office role.
- Cash, control and reporting: You'll run working capital through a fast-growth phase and build the reporting the founders and their advisory board rely on to steer.
- Financial Reporting: Own financial reporting processes, oversee the outsourced function initial, move in-house over time.
You'd be the first senior finance hire, so the function grows underneath you. The business is scaling towards a transaction, and you’ll play a key role in that.

What You'll Need
- Fully qualified accountant
- Finance experience in a product business - food and drink is ideal, but wider FMCG or consumer could work.
- Must have worked in a scaling brand (either another challenger or at brand level if part of a larger business)
- Proven experience partnering at strategic level in support of founders / SLT whilst comfortable being hands-on and developing processes / teams.
- Appetite to own a full finance remit end to end, working at close quarters with founders.
