The Role

A client in the consumer goods industry is seeking a Finance Director to join the team for a 6 month contract.

You will lead technical accounting, financial governance and compliance across the EMEA region. You will ensure robust controls, accurate reporting and support audit readiness within a fast paced, high growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own US GAAP technical accounting including revenue recognition, OPEX, inventory and lease accounting
  • Lead SOX compliance including control design, testing and remediation activities
  • Partner with auditors and deliver monthly and quarterly close reporting
  • Drive improvements across financial processes, systems and controls

Requirements

  • Strong background in Big 4 and industry within large multinational consumer/ retail / manufacturing organisations ( 5 years in each)
  • Deep expertise in US GAAP with exposure to IFRS and local GAAP frameworks
  • Proven experience in SOX compliance, controllership and financial reporting
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly

  • Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 annual equivalent - Open to Day Rate Contractors
  • Location: Leeds (hybrid, 3 days in office)
