The Role
A client in the consumer goods industry is seeking a Finance Director to join the team for a 6 month contract.
You will lead technical accounting, financial governance and compliance across the EMEA region. You will ensure robust controls, accurate reporting and support audit readiness within a fast paced, high growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Own US GAAP technical accounting including revenue recognition, OPEX, inventory and lease accounting
- Lead SOX compliance including control design, testing and remediation activities
- Partner with auditors and deliver monthly and quarterly close reporting
- Drive improvements across financial processes, systems and controls

Requirements
- Strong background in Big 4 and industry within large multinational consumer/ retail / manufacturing organisations ( 5 years in each)
- Deep expertise in US GAAP with exposure to IFRS and local GAAP frameworks
- Proven experience in SOX compliance, controllership and financial reporting
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly

Details
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months FTC
- Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 annual equivalent - Open to Day Rate Contractors
- Location: Leeds (hybrid, 3 days in office)
