Finance Director (Divisional)
£150k + Bonus + Equity
Birmingham Area (2 days a week)
We are supporting a major UK services business with the appointment of a Divisional Finance Director to lead finance across a high-growth business unit. Reporting to the Group CFO and partnering closely with the divisional Managing Director, the successful candidate will take ownership of financial performance, strategic planning, forecasting, commercial analysis and financial control. They will also play a central role in shaping the division’s long-term growth strategy and supporting key investment decisions.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning
- Provide clear insight into performance, underlying drivers and areas of opportunity
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and deliver the divisional growth strategy
- Support commercial decisions through financial modelling, investment appraisal and scenario analysis
- Oversee monthly reporting across revenue, costs, cash flow and the balance sheet
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance and reporting standards
- Assess capital investment, payback periods and the delivery of expected benefits
- Lead and develop a small divisional finance team
- Build effective relationships across both divisional and group leadership

The ideal candidate
- A qualified accountant with previous Finance Director or senior divisional finance experience
- Commercially strong, with excellent analytical and modelling capability
- Comfortable operating as a genuine partner to operational leadership
- Able to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders
- Strategic in outlook, while remaining hands-on when required
- Experienced in developing structured plans and supporting business growth
- A credible communicator with strong judgement and decision-making capability
