Role Description

The Finance Director FD UK role is a full-time remote position responsible for leading the financial strategy and oversight for Express Turbo Delivery’s UK-related operations and strategic initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing financial planning and budgeting
  • Managing cash flow
  • Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Managing financial controls
  • Supporting audit and compliance requirements
  • Implementing policies to safeguard company assets and optimize profitability

The Finance Director collaborates with senior leadership to:

  • Analyze financial performance
  • Evaluate investment opportunities
  • Support decisions on pricing, expansion, and operational efficiency

This position also involves coordinating with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure transparent reporting and alignment with regulatory and corporate standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management
  • Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to prepare, review, and interpret statutory and management reports
  • Advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making
  • Solid knowledge of UK financial regulations, tax considerations, and compliance frameworks relevant to logistics and e-commerce

Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) are highly beneficial.

Demonstrated experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within logistics, courier services, or fast-paced commercial environments.

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and remote collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Proficiency with financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel; experience with data visualization or BI tools is an advantage.
