Finance Director | Luxury Hospitality | Greater Manchester Area

Are you an experienced hospitality finance leader ready for your next challenge? We're partnering with a renowned luxury hospitality brand to recruit a Finance Director for a prestigious property in the Greater Manchester area.

As a key member of the Executive Committee, you will shape the hotel's financial strategy, support commercial decision-making, and ensure strong financial governance while leading a high-performing finance team.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the hotel's financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Oversee financial reporting, payroll, treasury, cash flow, and business performance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
  • Partner with the General Manager and department heads to drive commercial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance, and audit readiness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team.
  • Act as the primary financial contact for ownership, auditors, and banking partners.
  • Provide strategic financial insight as a member of the Executive Committee.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within the hospitality industry.
  • At least 8 years of finance experience, including 3+ years in a senior hospitality finance leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Experience using hotel finance systems such as Opera, Sun Systems, SAP, or similar ERP/PMS platforms.
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent analytical and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute at Executive Committee level.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA.
  • Previous experience within a luxury hotel or internationally recognised hospitality brand.
