Finance Director – Marketing Agency - London | Hybrid

We’re partnering with a highly successful £50m marketing agency to appoint a commercially minded Finance Director to lead the finance function and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Finance Director to take ownership of the finance function within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial agency environment. The role will combine financial leadership, commercial decision-making, strategic planning, and operational finance, working closely with the CEO and wider senior leadership team. The role will suit a Head of Finance stepping up or a Finance Director with sub 2 years' experience in the role.

The successful candidate will be a confident finance leader who can operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, providing the commercial insight and financial discipline needed to support the next stage of growth.

The Role

As Finance Director, you will take overall responsibility for the finance function and act as a key strategic partner to the leadership team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
