Finance Director - Operations
As the Finance Director - Operations, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial direction and success of Wm Morrison Supermarkets. You will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, ensuring efficient operations, and providing strategic insights to drive business growth. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding the company's financial decisions and maintaining its strong financial health.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the finance operations team, providing strategic direction and guidance.
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets.
- Provide financial training and support to other departments, ensuring financial literacy.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar finance leadership role.
- Fully qualified with a recognized accounting designation (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
- Additional learning or certifications in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, CFA) is preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
- Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful financial strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships.
- Proficient in using financial software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
