Finance Director - PE - Multi-Site

£125,000 - £150,000 + Bonus + Equity + Benefits
West Yorkshire

Are you a commercially driven Finance Director who can demonstrate how you've created value in a private equity-backed business?

Can you tell the story of what you changed, how you drove performance and the impact it had on growth, EBITDA and enterprise value?

We're working with a high-growth, private equity-backed business operating across multiple sites and entering an exciting phase of growth, transformation and acquisition.

They're looking for a Finance Director who can be a genuine commercial partner to the CEO, Board and PE sponsor, whilst taking ownership of finance and playing a leading role in the wider value creation agenda.

This isn't a role for someone who simply reports on performance. The successful candidate will be expected to identify where value can be created, challenge the business and lead initiatives that drive measurable improvements in performance and growth.

The Opportunity

  • Lead and develop a high-performing, commercially focused finance function.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, Board and PE sponsor.
  • Identify and lead initiatives to improve EBITDA, cash generation, margins and operational performance.
  • Develop and execute a clear value creation agenda across the business.
  • Use financial and operational data to identify opportunities, challenge performance and drive better decision-making.
  • Support growth strategy, including M&A, acquisitions and integration.
  • Improve working capital, cash generation and operational efficiency across a multi-site environment.
  • Provide commercial insight around pricing, investment, growth and performance.
  • Lead robust planning, forecasting, reporting and financial control.
  • Build strong relationships with investors, lenders and other key stakeholders.
  • Play a key role in shaping the next phase of growth and increasing enterprise value.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • A demonstrable track record of creating value, with clear examples of initiatives you have personally led or materially influenced.
  • Evidence of improving EBITDA, margins, cash generation, working capital, operational efficiency or revenue growth.
  • Experience working directly with a PE sponsor, CEO and Board.
  • Strong commercial and operational understanding, with the ability to look beyond the numbers.
  • Experience within a multi-site business where operational performance and consistency across locations are important.
  • M&A and acquisition experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience leading and developing finance teams through periods of growth and change.
  • The confidence and credibility to influence at Board and investor level.
  • A hands-on, energetic approach and the ability to operate at both strategic and operational level.

Sector is less important than the complexity of the environment and what you've actually achieved within it. Experience across multi-site, service, consumer, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, hospitality or other operationally intensive businesses could all be relevant.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine value creation role for a Finance Director who wants to be part of the growth story rather than simply report it.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with the CEO, Board and PE sponsor, influence strategy and lead initiatives that have a direct impact on business performance and enterprise value.

If you can demonstrate where you've made a difference in a PE-backed business and want the opportunity to do it again, we'd like to hear from you.
