Context
We're supporting a leading UK organisation undergoing significant finance and technology transformation with the appointment of a Finance Enterprise Architect.
This is a senior role sitting at the intersection of Finance and Technology. You'll work closely with Finance leaders and process owners to understand business requirements, shape future-state processes and solutions, and ensure technology changes deliver the right outcomes for Finance.
This is not a hands-on SAP configuration or deeply technical architecture role. The focus is on understanding Finance, shaping the right solution and bridging the gap between Finance and Technology.

- Understand business requirements and challenges across Finance
- Shape future-state Finance processes and solution designs
- Translate Finance requirements into clear specifications for Technology teams
- Work across core processes including R2R, P2P, O2C, Treasury, cash management and reporting
- Assess solution options and challenge designs from a Finance, controls and operational perspective
- Understand integrations and data flows across ERP and wider Finance systems
- Lead requirements and design through testing, implementation and adoption

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
