Starting Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 pa
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday | Site-based

A growing international food manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Finance Executive – Accounts & Reporting to join its Finance team.

Operating across the UK and Europe, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business experiencing continued growth while supplying major retailers, foodservice customers and international markets. This role offers broad exposure across transactional finance, management accounting support, forecasting and financial reporting, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Working closely with colleagues across the UK and Europe, as well as external accountants and auditors, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting business performance through insightful analysis. This is a hands-on finance role where you'll take ownership of key accounting activities while contributing to wider financial planning and supporting the continued growth of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger across UK and European entities
  • Complete monthly reconciliations across sales, purchase, bank and control accounts
  • Analyse sales ledger performance and identify trends month-on-month and year-on-year
  • Manage multi-currency transactions, including GBP, EUR and USD
  • Oversee invoice factoring processes, including reconciliations and reporting
  • Support cashflow forecasting and short-term cash management
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets and P&L forecasts
  • Support financial reporting, performance analysis and stock reconciliations across UK and European operations
  • Prepare VAT returns for France and the Netherlands and support year-end audit activities
  • Work collaboratively with Supply Chain and other departments, providing financial insight and support across the business

Your Background

  • 2–4 years' experience within a finance, accounts or accounting role
  • Strong experience managing Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger
  • Good understanding of reconciliations, accounting fundamentals and month-end processes
  • Experience working to tight monthly deadlines within a busy finance function
  • Confident Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and reconciliations
  • Comfortable working with multiple currencies
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience using Sage 200 or a similar ERP/accounting system would be advantageous
  • Exposure to management accounts, forecasting or financial analysis would be beneficial
