As a graduate, you'll be given meaningful responsibility from the start, supported to develop professionally, and empowered to contribute to projects that have a real impact on the nation's energy future. Whether you're solving complex challenges, driving innovation or delivering essential services, you'll play an important role in an organisation with genuine purpose.

Join us and help shape the future of energy.

About the Role

On our Finance Graduate Scheme, you will gain experience in a variety of roles including for example:

  • Transactional Accounting
  • Management Accounting and Reporting
  • Operational Finance
  • Providing direct support to Finance Business Partners

You may have an idea of what area of finance you’d like to specialise in, or you may not. Either way, our graduate programme will help you achieve your potential. You’ll also work towards a recognised accounting qualification: you can choose to study either CIMA or ACCA, with study support.

Through working in Finance, you will have great oversight of an interesting regulated and growing business. We’re looking for someone who wants to build their career with us and grasp new opportunities – helping us to transition Britain to clean energy. In return, we’ll support you with varied experiences, training, and development to provide a great platform for your future Finance career.

This three-year programme will give you a solid foundation to build a successful career in Finance. With an accounting qualification, you’ll be well-equipped to explore a variety of roles - from operational finance and management accounting to more commercial areas like Finance Business Partnering or work towards specialist fields such as Treasury and Tax.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About You

You’ll need to be a good communicator and be able to engage with people at every level. An interest in Finance and strong numerical ability is a must, but even more important is your personability, passion and drive to succeed.

What you'll need

We're looking for individuals who are on track to achieve, or have achieved, a 2:1 degree or above in any discipline.

Possessing a strong numerical and analytical ability, outstanding communication skills, and a team-oriented mindset are important, but it’s your personality, passion for finance, and ambition to develop and succeed that will set you apart.

A good application will include a cover letter to help us to understand why you're a great fit for the role. Be sure to include any other relevant experience or university modules.

Studies suggest that women tend to apply only if they meet 100% of the criteria. If you resonate with our mission, the role excites you and your skills align, we encourage you to apply.

The Essentials

Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.

This is a 36-month fixed-term graduate programme. You must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the programme. We are unable to sponsor UK work permits for this graduate scheme.

What you can expect from us

You’ll receive a range of benefits that reward your great work.

  • Starting annual salary of £34,646, with annual performance-based increases
  • A generous holiday allowance of 26 days plus statutory bank holidays, with the option to buy and sell additional days (capped at 5 days)
  • 2 paid days each financial year to volunteer for a worthwhile cause
  • A generous pension scheme with a double-match contribution – if you contribute 6%, we’ll contribute 12%, helping you build a strong financial future
  • Professional development and career progression
  • Employee assistance programme offering free confidential professional counselling 24 hours per day
  • A free on-site gym, as well as complimentary classes
