Are you a finance graduate looking for a first role with real responsibility, a fully funded chartered qualification, and a genuine route into a specialist treasury career?

As a Finance Graduate at A-SAFE, you’ll join our Group Finance team with a clear focus on treasury. You’ll look after the Group’s bank accounts, cash position and cash flow forecasting, and you’ll play a hands-on part in automating the treasury function from the ground up. This is a role where you’ll be trusted with real work from the start, not shadowing from the sidelines.

You’ll report to our Group Financial Accountant and work closely with our financial analysts, ledger teams, FP&A team and management accounting team, giving you exposure across the whole finance function while you build genuine specialist expertise.

How you will make an impact:

  • You’ll post and reconcile the Group’s bank accounts, maintaining accurate records and resolving any discrepancies quickly.
  • You’ll monitor the Group’s cash position and make sure it is accurately reflected in the financial system.
  • You’ll help prepare and update the Group’s cash flow forecast on a regular basis.
  • You’ll play a hands-on role in automating our treasury function, including supporting the implementation of a new Treasury Management System.
  • You’ll liaise with our international subsidiaries to ensure timely payments and postings.
  • You’ll support improvements to treasury governance, including the payment approval matrix, segregation of duties and audit trails.
  • You’ll create treasury reporting dashboards for internal stakeholders.
  • You’ll support the Group Financial Accountant with balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, audit requests and wider financial accounting activities.
  • You’ll collaborate with the wider finance teams to streamline cash management and improve overall financial efficiency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we are looking for:

  • A degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related subject with a strong finance element.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel, and the confidence to pick up new systems quickly.
  • High attention to detail.
  • An effective communicator and enthusiastic team player.
  • Organised, deadline-driven and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive approach and a genuine willingness to learn.
  • A placement or sandwich year in finance is desirable, as is part-time work alongside your studies.
  • A basic understanding of bank reconciliation, cash management and cash flow forecasting is desirable.

You’ll also bring:

  • A hard-working, roll-your-sleeves-up attitude – this is a role you get stuck into.
  • Ownership of your own learning, development and career direction.
  • Ambition and self-motivation, with the drive to grow into a senior treasury role.
  • Resilience and an openness to change – we are rebuilding this function, and you’ll be part of it.
  • A curious interest in treasury and where it could take your career.
  • A personable, collaborative approach – we are a close-knit team and this is not a “work in isolation” role.

Why you’ll love working with us:

You’ll receive full study support towards the ACT chartered treasury qualification – fully funded by us, with study leave. And you won’t be doing it alone: with other colleagues across our finance team working towards chartered qualifications, including others at a similar early stage in their careers. That support network is one of the things our people value most. This is a genuinely long-term opportunity. We have a strong track record of growing people from their first role into senior positions, and the pace of your progression is yours to drive.
