Ready to accelerate your Finance career? Join one of the UK's biggest retailers and gain hands-on finance experience while studying towards a professional CIMA accountancy qualification.
Our 3-year Finance Graduate role is functionally led, so you’ll develop deep expertise while rotating through a range of specialisms – including Controllership, Commercial Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Specialist Finance teams such as Tax Treasury and Investor Relations. Through a series of structured placements, you’ll build your technical knowledge, commercial awareness and leadership capability, taking on significant responsibility as your career progresses.
At the same time, you’ll study towards your CIMA accounting qualification with Kaplan Financial, working towards becoming a Chartered Management Accountant while applying your learning in a real business environment from day one.

Finance plays a critical role in every decision we make at Asda. Whether that's helping us invest in growth, understanding customer behaviour, improving performance, or ensuring strong financial control, our teams are at the heart of the business.
Throughout the role, you'll gain exposure to a variety of areas, including:
- Commercial Finance – Partnering with teams across the business to influence decisions, support trading performance, and deliver great outcomes for customers.
- Controllership & Accounting – Ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining robust controls, and providing insight into business performance.
- Specialist Finance teams – where you can build expertise across areas such as Tax, Treasury, Audit, Pensions, and Investor Relations.
You'll also get to know our stores, depots and supply chain, giving you a first-hand understanding of our customers, colleagues, and operations, and helping you see how finance decisions impact our business every day.
What you could be working on:
- Supporting financial planning, forecasting and budgeting activities
- Providing analysis and insight to support key business decisions
- Partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve performance
- Supporting month-end reporting and financial control processes
- Identifying risks and opportunities through data analysis
- Contributing to finance transformation and continuous improvement projects
- Producing reports and presentations for senior stakeholders
- Helping to maintain robust financial governance and controls

Your degree discipline doesn’t matter to us. Whether you’ve studied Finance, Economics, History, Engineering, Languages or anything else, you’ll receive full technical finance training as part of your CIMA qualification, so no prior accounting knowledge or experience is needed.
