Somerset F&I Leader
Salary: OTE £72,000.00
Location: Somerset - Weston and Lympsham
Hours: 45 hours per week (includes weekends)
We are looking for a driven and dynamic individual to lead our Finance and Insurance (F&I) team across Somerset. Based across both Lympsham and Weston showrooms, you will be responsible for the performance, management and coaching of all Somerset Business Managers.
In this high-impact role, you’ll combine strategic oversight with hands-on coaching to ensure exceptional financial performance, customer experience and full regulatory compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to take ownership, lead with confidence and play a key part within the Carbase team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop Business Managers across the group to ensure consistent performance and professional growth.
- Oversee Business Manager activity, providing operational support and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Assist Sales Management with all aspects of stock control, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement and manage Finance & Insurance (F&I) processes to support profitable and compliant operations.
- Ensure all customers are effectively referred to a Business Manager, via instruction from the Sales Manager or request from a Sales Consultant.
- Accurately manage the taking of deposits and payments, ensuring proper documentation and procedures are followed.
- Complete and maintain accurate sales records using Ivendi, Navigator, Deal Tracker, and Google documents where applicable.
- Uphold internal compliance standards in product sales and finance placement.
- Drive achievement of balanced sales across all products and services.
- Monitor and manage FSA compliance to maintain the company's ethos of treating customers fairly.
- Oversee vehicle deliveries and ensure smooth, customer-friendly handover processes.
- Maintain rigorous control and compliance of all finance-related documentation.
- Promote and embed the company’s customer review process to support reputation and service excellence.

Person Specification:
- Proven experience in a senior sale, business management, or F&I leadership role within the motor industry or a similarly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing team.
- Strong working knowledge of F&I processes and compliance requirements, including FSA regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships across departments.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Familiarity with automotive sales platforms and software, including Ivendi, Navigator, and Google Workspace.
- Committed to upholding customer service standards and delivering a fair, transparent experience.

Desirable:
- Previous experience in a multi-site or group-level automotive operation.
- Qualifications in leadership, coaching, or compliance (e.g., SAF, IMI).
