Location: London, Green Park (3 days in office)
Salary: £30K per annum
Contract Type: 12 month Fixed Term Contract

About the Company

Founded in 1997 and partner-owned, our client is a leading European mid-market sector specialist investor focused on mission-critical businesses across Business Services, Industrial Tech, and Healthcare. With over 150 investment professionals across 11 offices, they invest through three complementary strategies:

  • Mid-Market Private Equity (TMM): Equity positions of €200–500m+ in companies with enterprise values of €400m–2bn+. The sixth flagship fund (T6) recently closed at €5.5bn, the firm's largest to date.
  • Smaller Mid-Cap Private Equity (TSM): Applies the business' operational expertise to smaller European companies, targeting equity positions of €50–125m.
  • Opportunistic Credit (TDO): Senior-secured debt in sound mid-market businesses facing temporary headwinds, with new strategies under development including in the CLO space.

The Role

We are offering a successful candidate the opportunity to work for a leading Private Equity firm as a Finance Intern for 12 months. This is an ideal opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and develop the key skills needed to grow within the finance industry.

  • Perform detailed analysis for control of deal costs and recharge to appropriate third parties in accordance with various Agreements.
  • Raise disbursement invoices.
  • Process employee travel and entertainment expenditure reports and ensuring compliance with group policy.
  • Assist the team with preparing and checking ledger balances and other monthly and yearly accounts.
  • Support the Management Reporting function.
  • Provide project support on efficiency.
  • Contribute to improvement projects.

Experience and Personal Competencies

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Demonstrated background in generating fee and disbursement invoices.
  • Proficiency in computer operations, particularly adept with Excel and Outlook.
  • Mastery of financial reporting tools and general ledger systems.
  • Strong comprehension of double-entry principles.
  • Exceptional skills in Excel, IT, and numeracy, with a passion for finance-related work.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Right to work in the UK with no future sponsorship
