About ZeroPA

ZeroPA is a UK social-impact financial services business providing interest-free and fee-free finance to help households access essential goods and services.

Rather than providing cash directly to customers, ZeroPA works with approved retailers and service providers, combining responsible lending with commercial partnerships, financial inclusion and measurable social impact.

ZeroPA is developing its lending, technology, risk and regulatory infrastructure as it scales its UK operations.

Purpose of the Role

The Finance & Investment Analyst will provide financial, investment and portfolio analysis to support ZeroPA's growth, funding strategy and executive decision-making.

The postholder will build and maintain financial models, analyse the performance and economics of ZeroPA's lending portfolio, assess funding and investment opportunities, monitor financial and portfolio risks, and prepare high-quality financial information for management, the Board, investors and funding partners.

The role combines financial analysis, investment appraisal, commercial modelling and portfolio analytics within a growing financial-services business.

Financial Analysis & Modelling

  • Develop and maintain ZeroPA's integrated financial model, forecasts and scenario analysis.
  • Prepare monthly and longer-term forecasts covering revenue, operating costs, cash flow, lending capital and profitability.
  • Analyse actual financial performance against budget and forecast.
  • Model alternative growth, funding and lending scenarios.
  • Undertake sensitivity and stress testing of key financial assumptions.
  • Analyse the financial impact of changes in lending volumes, average loan values, repayment periods and customer behaviour.
  • Support preparation of budgets and medium-term financial plans.

Lending & Portfolio Analysis

  • Analyse loan applications, lending volumes, repayments, arrears and non-payment trends.
  • Monitor portfolio performance against ZeroPA's target non-payment assumptions and identify emerging risks.
  • Analyse customer cohorts and repayment behaviour to understand portfolio performance.
  • Develop portfolio forecasting models covering loan deployment, repayments, cash requirements and expected losses.
  • Analyse the economics of different loan sizes, repayment terms and customer segments.
  • Produce management information on portfolio quality and lending performance.
  • Work with Risk and senior management to identify financial and portfolio trends requiring management action.

Commercial & Unit-Economics Analysis

  • Analyse the unit economics of ZeroPA's lending model.
  • Model revenues generated through retailer rebates, cashback, commercial partnerships and other income streams.
  • Assess profitability and contribution by retailer, product category and lending cohort.
  • Analyse the impact of different rebate arrangements and lending values on commercial returns.
  • Evaluate proposed partnerships and commercial opportunities.
  • Prepare financial assessments and recommendations before significant commercial commitments are entered into.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
