About the role:
Our South East Audit business generates around £190m in annual revenue and brings together approximately 800 people across five offices. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, providing commercial insight and financial expertise to support effective decision-making. You will contribute to leadership discussions, partner with finance centres of excellence and other functional teams and provide constructive challenge where appropriate. Combining strong commercial awareness, technical knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills, you will help shape financial strategy, identify solutions and influence business outcomes, supporting the achievement of both short and long-term financial objectives across a diverse and dynamic Audit business.
What your days will look like:
- Drive financial performance and improvement, providing clear insight on results, identifying commercial opportunities and recommending actions to improve profitability, margins, billing and cash collection.
- Support business strategy and planning, partnering with business and functional leaders to develop financial plans, priorities and initiatives aligned with strategic and operational objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial discipline, coordinating annual budgets and forecasts, supporting workforce planning and promoting consistent financial controls, policies and procedures.
- Develop and support teams and commercial capability, managing workloads, coaching colleagues and contributing to initiatives that strengthen commercial awareness and career development.

This role is for you if:
- Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or international equivalent), with strong commercial awareness and an understanding of business and financial drivers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, commercially focused insights.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage, constructively challenge and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills, creating trusted partnerships and working effectively across Finance and wider professional networks.
- Effective people management and coaching capability, supporting performance, wellbeing and career development for self and colleagues.
- Proactive and improvement-focused, with the ability to support and influence change while delivering high-quality outcomes.
