Are you a hands-on finance professional ready to take full ownership of a company's finances?
This is a chance to run the finance function of a successful, long-established business, reporting directly to the Directors.
About the company
Our client is a well-established London vehicle rental business who are known for excellent customer service and a friendly, close-knit team.
The role
You'll take ownership of the finance function. That means producing accurate management information, keeping a tight grip on cash flow and making sure the day-to-day accounts run smoothly. The Directors will look to you for clear financial insight to support their decisions.

Key responsibilities
- Preparing monthly management accounts and reporting to the Directors
- Managing cash flow forecasting and bank balances
- Overseeing purchase and sales ledgers, supplier payment runs and credit control
- Managing fleet finance, hire purchase and leasing agreements
- Leading month-end, VAT returns and the year-end process with external accountants
- Overseeing payroll and pensions
- Preparing budgets and forecasts, and improving financial controls and processes
What you'll need
- Experience as a Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager or in a senior accounts role
- Strong management accounts, cash flow and month-end experience
- Confidence with VAT, payroll and year-end
- Experience with Xero
- A clear communicator who's comfortable working closely with Directors

Location
