Robert Half is partnering with a high-growth FinTech business based in the City of London to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a scaling organisation and play a key role within the finance function, acting as the bridge between the transactional finance team and the Financial Controller.

This is a broad and hands-on position, responsible for overseeing day-to-day finance operations, improving processes and controls, and ensuring the finance function runs efficiently.

The Role

Finance Manager key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day finance operations and transactional finance activities
  • Managing month-end processes and ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Maintaining and improving financial controls across the business
  • Supporting process improvements and automation initiatives to drive efficiency
  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management
  • Working closely with the Financial Controller to support the wider finance agenda
  • Acting as a key point of contact within the finance function and providing guidance to junior team members
  • Supporting ad hoc projects as the business continues to grow and evolve

About You

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded accountant who is eager to develop within a growing business. You will have:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • At least 1-year PQE - either in accounts preparation OR industry trained.
  • Ideal background within an SME environment OR experience within Financial Services/ FinTech
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business

  • ACA-qualified candidates from smaller accountancy practices/ accounts preparation who have worked predominantly with Financial Services clients
