Finance Manager - 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
We're partnering with a global, high-growth PE backed technology business to appoint an experienced Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to take ownership of financial reporting across multiple EMEA entities within a fast-paced international environment.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in month-end close, statutory reporting, audit management, tax compliance and process improvement, while supporting and mentoring junior members of the finance team.
The role offers significant exposure across a multinational business and would suit someone who enjoys operating in a collaborative, commercially focused finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Manage the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process across multiple EMEA entities.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts under US GAAP.
- Produce meaningful balance sheet and P&L variance analysis.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
- Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Review complex accounting entries and provide technical support to junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and reporting deadlines.
Payroll & Commissions
- Prepare payroll-related accruals and associated journals.
- Manage commission accrual calculations and payroll submissions.
- Support payroll accounting processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Statutory Reporting & Audit
- Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements across multiple EMEA entities.
- Coordinate external audits and act as the key finance contact throughout the audit process.
- Prepare audit files and ensure timely completion of statutory reporting requirements.
Tax & Compliance
- Support indirect tax compliance and local tax filings.
- Partner with internal tax specialists on tax reporting matters.
- Maintain a robust financial control environment and support internal control testing and compliance activities.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and month-end efficiencies.
- Support finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to projects that enhance reporting accuracy and operational effectiveness.
Leadership & Business Partnering
- Mentor and support junior members of the finance team.
- Build strong relationships across finance and the wider business.
- Support the Financial Controller with ad hoc projects and wider finance initiatives.
About You
You'll be a technically strong accountant with previous Finance Manager experience gained within an international business. We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- 3–5 years' post-qualified industry experience.
- Previous Finance Manager experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of both US GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
- Multi-entity and multi-currency reporting experience.
- Experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits.
- Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial controls experience.
- Payroll accounting and indirect tax exposure.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive approach to improving finance processes.
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior finance professionals.
- Previous experience working within a Private Equity backed organisation.
- Previous experience working within tech, software or Saas businesses.

Desirable Experience
Experience gained within international technology, software or SaaS businesses would be highly advantageous, as would previous experience operating within a Private Equity-backed or US-listed organisation.
