We’re Pip & Nut.
(& You could be too).
We make the best nut butters & snacks you can get your paws on.

Beginning

Pip started Pip & Nut in 2015. After whizzing up nut butters at home (using natural ingredients & nothing else) she was onto something tasty. Her friends agreed. Her family agreed, and soon the people of London’s Maltby Street Market agreed.

The word - and the nut butter - started spreading. Fast. We leapt onto the shelves of Selfridges. Then Sainsbury’s. Then Wholefoods & Ocado. Then Asda, Morrisons, Waitrose, Co-Op, Tesco - you get it.

Middle

We’re in every UK supermarket, but we’re not done yet (that’s why we need you). We want to keep growing while showing people that tasty food can be good for you & the planet. We’re a B Corp after all. That’s not just a pretty badge. Better business is an all-day, everyday mindset.

End Next

We’re nimble: we’re the number one & fastest growing nut butter brand in the UK.
We’re tenacious: next up, we’re taking over snacking.
We’re a B Corp & proud: we’re doing all of that while looking after people & the planet. 10% of our profits go to The Pip & Nut Foundation to support organisations tackling hunger & loneliness in communities.

The squirrels are taking over. Are you in?

What you’ll be doing:

As our Interim Finance Manager, you'll be a big part of Pip & Nut’s financial foundations, supporting the Financial Controller (FC) and CFO in keeping Pip & Nut’s growth on track. There's a lot going on at The Nest, so you'll need to be happy keeping different people & priorities on track, with a beady eye on what really matters when it comes to controls & governance. Staying cool under pressure, you’ll be an important part of our total business supporting teams across Operations, Marketing & Sales. You’ll also be managing our Finance Assistant to make sure our day-to-day tasks keep ticking over.

In a nutshell, you’ll be:

  • A numbers guardian. You’ll carry out high-quality financial reporting that helps drive smart business decisions, protects value & keeps our team performing at its best.
  • Laying the financial foundations, working with our FC to keep our accounting, internal & external reporting, treasury & compliance running like clockwork.
  • A month-end mastermind. You’ll own the financial reporting cycle, closing month-end (P&L, BS & CF) accurately & on time, including reconciliations & consolidations - plus detailed updates ready for the Financial Controller.
  • An A* auditor, managing our audit as a key inputter, working with our Finance Controller to keep things in line & on time.
  • A team player, bringing financial support to the wider Pip & Nut team, especially operations, marketing & sales.
  • Guarding our Belgian books, working with our team in Belgium (& PwC) to take full ownership of accounting, reporting & compliance across our Belgian business.
  • A treasury pro. You’ll build a robust cash management set-up: cash flow, debt (RF facility) management, compliant payment runs & day-to-day banking relationships.
  • A force for good, looking for ways to help us hit our social & environmental goals, leading by example.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Things we’re looking for (skills & credentials):

  • A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or similar) with the numbers know-how to back it up.
  • A clear communicator. You can explain the numbers to non-finance folk in a way that makes sense (& sticks).
  • A beady eye for detail & strong analytical skills.
  • Efficiency, energy & enthusiasm (in no particular order). You’re happy working towards multiple deadlines & managing your own time, even when things get busy.
  • An Excel whizz. You’ll have intermediate/advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Sector savviness. You’ll ideally have knowledge of Wholesale/Retail, importing, stock, cost accounting & foreign currency.
  • Software smarts. You’ll have experience using accountancy packages (ideally, QuickBooks, but this isn’t essential).
  • A cross-team connector. You’ll be comfortable working with other teams (outside Finance) & ideally have some experience doing this.

Hold UP.

We exist to 'help people love food that loves them & the planet'. To do that right, we need to build our business on fairness, making sure every team member feels they belong. That's why Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) will always be front of mind in every part of Pip & Nut - including our job applications! We're aware that women & people from different backgrounds will often only apply for jobs where they meet 100% of listed qualifications. Don't let that 100% stop you. If you know this is the role for you & you meet many, but not all, of our asks - we still want to hear from you! If there's anything we can do to help you to apply, email kim@pipandnut.com.

Our Purpose:

Help people love food, that loves them & the planet.

Our Values:

We don’t just focus on what we’re doing (we do a lot), but how we’re doing it. That big ‘how’ makes Pip & Nut unique. It gives us our edge.

We call it Squirrel Energy.

Squirrel Energy is at the centre of everything we do. Inside & outside The Nest. It’s what we value in our individual squirrels & how we want to be seen as a whole.

Our four values get into the nutty gritty of what squirrel energy is. Have a read:

  • All Paws Together: While we may be individual creatures, our team spirit is infectious.
  • Curious by Nature: Ears pricked at all times ready to discover something about ourselves, our shoppers, our products & the environment around us.
  • Make Every Nut Count: Us squirrels will find creative NO, INGENIOUS! Ways to get stuff done.
  • Take a Leap: For us, the ability to leap from one tree to another on branches that bend & flex is about being bold, agile & adaptable.

  • 12:30pm finishes on Fridays in August
  • AND we hibernate for Christmas and shut down so we get a proper rest
  • 3 volunteering days a year to give back to your local community.

  • A decent pension contribution (with an option to invest in sustainable funds).
  • Private health care (Vitality), dental insurance, critical illness & life insurance to keep you ticking over from DAY 1!
  • Free breakfast in the Nest, a no desk-lunch policy and the bit you’ve been looking for, more nut butter than you can shake your tail at. Hooray.
  • 36 hours working per week: 9am – 5.30pm (Mon-Thu) & an early finish on Fridays at 4pm (yippee!)
  • A great office, in a great part of town, with an even greater team (that’s a fact).

Oh nuts! It might seem obvious but there are a lot of nuts at The Nest. We're often testing, trialing or generally nibbling so if you have a severe nut allergy, please have a think about whether The Nest is the best place for you to be. Drop us a message if you need some more info.

Chat GPT?

We get it. Job applications are tricky. AI platforms, like Chat GPT, can be helpful, but pretty please with peanuts on top don't copy & paste an answer for your application. We have beady eyes & will not accept anything that's obviously AI generated. We want to know the real you, not a robot. You've got this!

Now…what are you waiting for?
