Are you a qualified accountant with hands-on experience across Wholesale, E-commerce, and Retail?

Could you step into a UK Finance Manager role and take ownership of the numbers through a critical year-end period?

Do you have experience working within a consumer or retail business, and enjoy being close to the detail rather than purely operating at a strategic level?

We are working with a leading global consumer brand with an established UK operation generating approximately £45m to £50m in annual turnover.

They are looking for a qualified accountant to join the business on a 6-month contract and provide hands-on support across the UK finance function, with a particular focus on getting the business successfully through year end.

This is a broad Finance Manager position suited to someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, getting into the detail, and working closely with the wider commercial business.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the UK business, ensuring the accounts are accurate, robust, and delivered on time.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
