ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a hands-on, commercially minded Finance Manager to join our growing Finance team and take ownership of key finance operations, controls and processes across the business.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play an important role in keeping our finance operations running smoothly – from billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable through to month-end, VAT and sales tax compliance, intercompany accounting and cash management. You’ll work closely with our Operations, Commercial and Franchise teams, helping us build scalable processes and strong financial controls as Townhouse continues to grow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own and improve day-to-day finance operations, processes and controls
- Manage billing and revenue processes across events, franchise, SaaS and product revenue streams
- Own accounts receivable and credit control, including aged debt, collections and dispute resolution
- Manage franchise billing, revenue reconciliations and recurring SaaS billing
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions, recharges, loans and stock accounting
- Review and approve supplier payment runs in line with delegated authority
- Support cash flow planning, banking administration and wider treasury activities
- Prepare and submit UK VAT returns and coordinate US sales tax filings
- Prepare and review journals, accruals, prepayments and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Support the month-end close and preparation of monthly management accounts
- Review AP month-end deliverables, including supplier reconciliations, aged creditors and payment runs
- Support year-end audit and statutory reporting requirements
- Partner with Operations, Commercial and Franchise teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making
- Support new salon openings, franchise launches and wider commercial projects
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cash conversion and scalability across the finance function

ABOUT YOU
- An experienced finance professional with strong experience across transactional finance and month-end processes
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable taking ownership of your work
- Commercially minded, with the ability to understand how finance impacts the wider business
- Strong technical accounting skills, with experience across reconciliations, journals, accruals and balance sheet controls
- Experience with accounts receivable, credit control and cash collection
- Comfortable working with VAT and other indirect tax compliance
- Confident working with intercompany accounting and multiple entities
- A proactive problem solver who enjoys improving processes and finding better ways of working
- Strong communicator who can build effective relationships with operational and commercial stakeholders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business where priorities can evolve
- A team player who brings a positive, collaborative and hands-on approach

LOCATION
This is a full-time, permanent role based at our Support Centre in Central London, and we offer a hybrid working model, aligned with role requirements.
